the company
01. the story
SuedeCycle began with a simple observation on a factory floor: the skip behind the cutting room was full of perfectly good suede. Offcuts, edges, trimmings — tanned, dyed, finished material, paid for twice and used never.
The question was never whether the material deserved a second life. It was whether that second life could meet the standard the industry actually buys to: consistent color, consistent quality, a format you can plan production around. The unified 2.00 × 1.37 m sheet is our answer.
Today SuedeCycle manufactures suede made from recycled leather fibre, for customers in footwear, leather goods, upholstery and fashion.
02. the mission
Leather is one of the oldest recycled materials in human history — hides were never meant to be wasted. Our mission is to bring that logic to the industrial scale: every offcut recovered, every sheet consistent, every loop closed.
03. the values
01
Consistency
Same color, same quality, same origin — within the batch and between orders. If a sheet does not match, it does not ship.
02
Circularity
Our raw material is recovered waste, without exception. No blend, no virgin percentage, no fine print.
03
Transparency
We claim what we can prove and label what is pending. Certifications appear when audits finish, not before.
04. the founder
Sergio León Martínez Losa
CEO & Founder
Sergio founded SuedeCycle to industrialize an idea the leather sector had always treated as scrap-bin philosophy: that offcuts are supply, not waste. He leads the company from Spain and still answers the samples inbox himself.
